My wife has learned you do not 'ask' a favor of a limo company. A few days ago we were at the airport to drop off our nephew and I had planned to then take my son to his hockey practice and skating school that evening.
While waiting for the flight we learned that if you have an underage passenger (nephew is 14; but to American Airline 15 is considered OF AGE...They also charge $200 extra for this feature) THE ADULT must stay with the underage passenger until the plane takes off. This would be fine if THE DAMN PLANE TAKES OFF ON TIME...But this is American Airlines and they LOVE TO FLY AND ITS SLOW!!!
So here I am running into a possible time bind and so my wife calls a LIMO company to see if they could pick her up 'if needed'. The limo company says sure and low and behold we find that my nephew could catch an earlier flight and so no waiting everyone is happy, so I thought.
When my wife calls back to the limo company to say the trip would not be needed they inform her it will be a 100 percent charge even though NO LIMO HAD BEEN DISPATCHED YET AND THEY TOLD MY WIFE THEY COULD DO AN 'IF NEEDED BASIS' FOR THE POSSIBLE TRIP.
Looking at a 100 percent charge FOR NOTHING or making them come out to the airport during rush hour and then drive my rather frustrated wife back guess what I chose?
They called back and offered a $50.00 charge...NO I SAID SEND THE LIMO OUT HERE NOW!...Then they said final offer $30.00...I told them to have the back bar filled because my wife is expecting a pickup in LUXURY and is mad. The limo company finally said there was a slight misunderstanding and since we were such good customers NO CHARGE FOR THE FAVOR JUST KNOW NEXT TIME 24 HOUR NOTICE IS REQUIRED TO CANCEL.
So no dispatch, no problem, no drinking while someone drives. My wife asked me how I knew they would do this? Because it was a weekday at 4:30pm and there was a traffic back up everywhere which would have cost the limo company more time and money coming out and headed all the way back to Allen.
It has now convinced her to use Super Shuttle or Discount Shuttle instead of the limo service and executive taxi.

| It continues: You have more problems with every business than anyone I have ever heard from. Whenever someone has THAT much trouble with EVERY service provider, I look at the one common denominator: YOU!

I coulda done without all that drama They have our credit card number on file...As for how businesses handle people I must compliment AT&T and how they handle a data overage alert I received yesterday. My son has a phone which we thought had limits on data downloading...It didn't and he downloaded almost 40 megabytes of data which would run us about $80.00 on our bill. Instead Tamara from AT&T was able to bill us the $10 unlimited feature for my son and saved us a great deal of money.
I have never heard of a company that sends out alerts warning you of an overage and then helps defray the costs and even will call me a day after our billing date to make sure the bill is adjusted properly. Now that is what I call service, that is why I call on AT&T.

| Having your credit card number on file doesn't mean they have to get paid
